About This Role: |
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for an Assistant Scientist to join its soil fertility program. The Assistant Scientist will facilitate and help conduct soil fertility field research at multiple locations. Duties will include all aspects of field experiment establishment, maintenance, sample and data collection, and harvesting with corn, soybeans, wheat, sorghum and other crops. Related duties will include, planting, fertilizing, spraying, operate and maintain field equipment, collect and manage data, supervise undergraduate student workers, assist graduate students to facilitate their research activities, and communicate with cooperating farmers. Anticipated Hiring Pay Range: |
$44,000 - $60,000 Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression. |
