Johnson County Mental Health is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position of Charge Nurse-Nursing Supervisor (Manager III). The Mental Health Charge Nurse directs and oversees the medical services at either the Shawnee or Olathe clinic and provides clinical supervision as well as staff development and engagement along with providing direct psychiatric services to inmates in a correctional setting. The schedule will start as Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm and will include rotating holidays. This position will remain open until filled.
Job duties includes:
Successful completion of education program in Nursing that meets the requirements for the Registered Nurse license; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas; two years of nursing experience; and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record are required.
Two (2) years of behavioral health direct patient nursing or relevant experience and two (2) years leading, directing, supervising, or coordinating the work of others are preferred.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
