About This Role: |
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for an Extension Associate to lead the development, manage, and facilitate extension educational programs in agronomy. The successful candidate will work closely with Extension Specialists, and in collaboration with Agents, industry partners, farmers, and other stakeholders to coordinate and amplify the impact of extension educational programs. Other responsibilities include supporting extension specialists in creating educational materials and resources, and promoting extension events, workshops, and field days to reach a broader audience. Find and refine topics for eUpdate articles, X (Twitter), Facebook, and other social media posts, fact sheets, and other Extension products and pursue opportunities for supplemental funding to support programs. Coordinate, plan, and lead the organization of traditional extension programs such as winter meetings, crop schools, and summer diagnostic schools with a primary focus on program development, identifying relevant topics and presenters, including CEU credits for certified crop advisor and commercial pesticide applicator programs. |

$60,383 - $76,623 *Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $60,383. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. |
