Job Description

IFF is looking for a researcher for the site in New Century, KS. The Product Experience researcher will design and execute sensory and consumer insights projects according to the
category assignment. In this role you will analyze, report and present outcome of the research tointernal and external partners. As Product Experience (PX) Researchers, we represent the voice of the consumer within IFF and help to drive regional sales by implementing research designs and effectively managingresources to ensure we create optimal products people love.


Proficiency in basic sensory and consumer testing methods andtechnical skills is essential to be effective in this role.


Major responsibilities include:
* Identify and implement sensory & consumer insights methods to match project
objectives. Work on cross-function teams and collaborate effectively to design appropriate research.
* Generate sensory and consumer data.
* Be at ease with discriminative and descriptive sensory methods.
* Design quantitative consumer tests.
* Conduct qualitative consumer research (from creating moderator guides to
moderating).
* Analyze quantitative consumer and sensory data using statistical models; Translate raw
data into insights and actionable recommendations that support the development of flavors with guidance from manager.
* Present findings to internal stakeholders and customers (with guidance from Manager)
to showcase consumer understanding in the flavors developed.
* Create workplans with assistance of manager but tracks progress independently.
* Work with PX team to collaborate on research (confer with Researchers, Descriptive
Panel leader, and Technicians).
* Work closely with the Sensory Lab technician to plan internal testing.

Job Requirements


Essential
* BS degree in food science, Pharmacist-Biochemist, Food Engineering, Sensoryscience, Psychology, Neuroscience or related disciplines, with knowledge inSensory Techniques and Consumer Research, and Statistical analysis applied toSensory and consumer research.
* Learning agility and drive for results, creativity and problem solving
* Effective team player,
* Good written and verbal communication skills in English,
* Medium skills in sensory and consumer methodologies and data analysis, be atease with statistical programssuch as XLStat.
* Experience using Eye Question data collection software.
* Good presentation skills.
* Ability to leverage your expertise and knowledge to support lessexperienced team members.
* Effective team player.
* Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.

Preferred:
* Advanced skills in sensory & consumer methodologies and data analysis: trainingin qualitative research methods, sensory tools and expertise in advanced statistical techniques.
* Self-training skills, curiosity and learning improvement desire.


Required Experience:
* Minimum 3 years' experience sensory and consumer research related fields.
