About The Opportunity

In the position as a Quality Manager, you will ensure customer and business requirements are met by promoting employee engagement, managing the plant Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with the ORBIS QMS and driving continuous improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints through execution, facilitation, continuous follow up, communications, and/or re-work.

  • Manage product/process trials concerning new products, existing molds, material trials, and improvement projects.

  • Develop capable production processes for new and existing products using Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC, Standard Work, Gage R & R, and Gage development activities.

  • Drive execution of, maintain, improve and train as it relates to local process ownership, ORBIS production system Quality Plan, Process capability, Calibration, Internal Audits / Cross plant audits, Corrective and Preventive action.

  • Monitor, analyze and report performance metrics to local and corporate leadership.

  • Lead and promote problem solving and ensure continuous improvement utilizing the CAPA system, designed experiments, Six Sigma/Lead methodologies, and other problem-solving methodologies.

  • Drive development and application of standard work processes across plant/production activities.

  • Provide hands on training on the floor to operators, processors and staff.

  • Drive companywide improvement of the QMS (Internal audits, 3rd party audits, customer complaints, risks, and opportunities).

  • Other duties as assigned.
