WORK LOCATION: San Luis Obispo, CA

This is a fall 2024 co-op, beginning in June/July, ending in December.

Core Purpose:
Support process improvement projects to help San Luis Obispo site to attain higher levels of safety, quality and productivity.

In this role, you will:
Evaluate and measure process performance, identify root causes of poor process performance, prove the causes, develop countermeasures to mitigate causes, implement mitigating actions in a timely manner, check if the mitigations worked, standardize the improvements.

You're a good fit if you have:
- Understanding of processes and controls
- Mechanical aptitude
- People and teamwork oriented
- Problem solving skills
- Some knowledge of data analysis

Desired Major & Graduation Date:
Industrial / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to manipulate mechanical assemblies and objects of 25 lb.
- Mobility to be able to investigate and observe shop floor activities.

- Work with others for a common outcome

- Identify root causes of problems and potential mitigations
- Completion of projects
