Job Description

The Senior Sales Executive, New Product Team for GLLF (Global Large Law Firms) will primarily focus on driving growth of new products, including CoCounsel Core, Document Intelligence and Intelligent Drafting. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customer stakeholders and coordinate internal stakeholders around strategy and sales to close. You will be accountable for effective messaging, demo, sales process, and project plan to close.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Sales Executive, you will:

  • Engage with attorney and Practice Area Heads utilizing effective messaging and storytelling to create qualified opportunity

  • Validate customer needs, shape project plans and drive deals to close

  • Possess core knowledge across products within the subsegment (CoCounsel Core, Document Intelligence and Intelligent Drafting), and engage other Westlaw, Practical Law or HighQ SSE's for deep product expertise

  • Create and execute account-level sales strategy including identifying where ASE or BDR support needed and is accountable for leveraging opportunity to bundle additional high-growth products


Baseline Expectations and KPIs:

  • Consistency: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and overall annual new sales targets

  • Messaging: Create, own and evolve your TR holistic messaging to generate qualified opportunity

  • Strategic: Maintain and execute a Territory Business Plan

  • Reaching: Develop and execute a territory REACH strategy, levering GLLF, LP and digital partners and resources, to connect with attorneys and legal professionals in your territory with the purpose of generating 3x pipeline to quota ratio

  • High Customer Activity: 10 qualified customer meetings a week, with a goal of substantially more customer versus internal meetings per week


About You

You're a fit for the Senior Sales Executive if your background includes:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, JD or legal industry experience strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 4 years successful outside sales experience in professional B2B environments

  • Proven track record of sales success

  • Previous sales experience in software sales and/or online legal information a plus

  • Working knowledge of sales process, methods and techniques

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $200,200 - $371,800. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $182,000 - $338,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
