Overview:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Copy Editor Intern to join our Strategic Communications team. You'll proof and edit content for our corporate and consumer-facing marketing initiatives for independent financial advisors and their clients. If you have a sharp eye for detail, enjoy the art of great grammar and are interested in financial services, we'd love to work with you.
Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Proofreading and editing communication and marketing materials to ensure they're accurate and error-free
  • Reviewing and refining e-blasts before distribution
  • Providing design-ready copy to our graphic and web design teams
  • Organizing archives and coordinating thank you gifts for AE's quarterly magazine
  • Various tasks to keep the team running smoothly
What do we need from you?
  • College-level coursework in advertising, mass communications/journalism, marketing or English
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with AP style
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with or willingness to learn about AI editing and writing tools
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
Bonus Points:
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Experience with project management software (we use Workfront)
